Endovascular Interventions

Proficiency-Based Training

Incorporating Surgical Science’s endovascular simulator into your training program allows your residents to learn from mistakes, away from the patient — which builds their confidence and skills while reducing the number of complications when they enter the OR.

The Strasbourg Experience

New technology and devices are constantly being developed for endovascular surgery. The Strasbourg Experience in France uses ANGIO Mentor as part of their training and assessment. “We see that repeating the procedure on the simulator made [residents] better when they are actually doing the procedure in the OR,” says Prof. Nabil Chakfe.

Every day, surgical teams need to be able to communicate and solve problems together, in the best interest of their patients. Our endovascular simulation training allows residents to train together, as a team.

Team members may include primary operator, secondary operator, anesthesiologist, nurse, X-ray technician and echocardiographer.
