Bulgarian TV Highlights Simulation Training at EANS Neurosurgery Conference
In a recent Bulgarian TV interview, Dutch neurosurgeon Prof. Jeroen Boogaarts discussed the role of medical simulation in shifting to endovascular neurosurgery. He emphasized training young neurosurgeons in minimally invasive techniques for treating neurovascular diseases and the benefits of new technologies like thrombectomy for stroke patients.
Prof. Boogaarts also highlighted the use of high-end simulators in medical education, allowing trainees to safely practice complex procedures. The interview emphasized the importance of these advancements in improving patient outcomes and preparing future neurosurgeons.
Surgical Science’s ANGIO Mentor simulators are taking part in EANS’ Endovascular Skills courses for the past 5 years, allowing neurosurgeons to realistically practice neurovascular interventions such as carotid, cerebral, and stroke without damaging a patient. Listen to the interview below.
