TEE EMERGENCY Module

This module includes hands-on procedural tasks and clinical cases for the training of the Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) exam for emergency medicine, using a realistic TEE probe. The procedural task supports a guided step-by-step performance of TEE Emergency protocol, including standard views acquisition and anatomy recognition. The clinical cases present realistic scenarios typically shown in the Emergency departments.

Learning Objectives:

• To learn and become familiar with normal cardiovascular anatomy, as visualized using TEE
• To become proficient in operating and maneuvering the TEE probe
• To gain experience in recognizing structural and functional cardiac abnormalities
