This module is used with Ultrasound Mentor’s Female manikin.
It involves a comprehensive pelvic ultrasound evaluation. It covers both transvaginal and transabdominal scanning techniques. The module provides a complete educational and diagnostic environment through virtual cases and focused clinical scenarios based on real scans. It offers guided step-by-step tasks for learning how to acquire standard views and recognize anatomy. The clinical cases within the module include assessment and documentation of both healthy and pathological cases, covering various aspects such as uterine size, shape, and orientation, as well as the endometrium, myometrium, cervix, adnexa, and cul-de-sac. Measurement tools, Doppler functionality, and advanced image controls are available for a thorough evaluation.
The module complies with the AIUM–ACR–ACOG–SPR-SRU, 2014 guidelines.
Expanding the library of cases is enabled based on real patient scans using the MyCase add-on software for Ultrasound Mentor.
