LOWER GI ENDOSCOPY MODULE

Survey the Lower GI Tract

These modules enable the performance of a complete survey of the lower GI tract with an authentic forward-viewing video-endoscope. Each of the two modules contains 10 virtual patients. Trainees encounter true-to-life situations such as intestinal looping and complex colon anatomies and are required to practice clinical procedures such as biopsy and polypectomy.

Learning Objectives:

• To perform a complete survey of the Upper GI Tract with a forward-viewing video endoscope
• To perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in diverse virtual patients with varying anatomy and pathologies
• To recognize typical lesions
• To perform basic therapeutic procedures
