Robot-Assisted Right Upper Lobe Removal
Users can practice on the complicated robot-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy (right upper lobe) and acquire the skills and knowledge required to perform the key components in the procedure including: inspection of the thoracic cavity, dissection of the hilum in order to expose and divide the blood vessels and bronchus.
This module includes simulation of complications and emergency situations such as injury to the pulmonary artery and vein, to the phrenic nerve and to the pericardium. A fully-responsive anatomical environment features breathing and pulse movements with highly realistic graphics.
True-to-life team training, which is intended to improve teamwork and communication, is enabled by adding the LAP Mentor Express alongside the RobotiX Mentor. The laparoscopic assistant’s role is performed on the LAP Mentor Express while the role of the main surgeon is practiced on the RobotiX Mentor.
