Supported by educational aids, trainees develop skills in precise instrument handling and resection using loop electrode safely and effectively.
During the simulated procedures, trainees practice visualizing anatomical landmarks, managing irrigation fluid, and tracking fluid deficiencies. They also learn to handle potential complications, such as controlling bleeding and preventing perforation. Throughout the experience, trainee foster a patient-centered approach while developing critical technical skills for real-world application.
Objectives
- To establish uterine distension and left and right tubal orifice visualization
- To achieve a clear endoscopic field while using irrigation fluid
- To effectively resect fibroids
- To safely handle the loop electrode to avoid uterine perforation
- To identify bleeding sources and coagulate them accurately with the loop electrode
