The Essential Tasks module group serves as the entry point into the EmergeX training curriculum, equipping trainees with the foundational skills needed before advancing to higher-acuity clinical scenarios.
Trainees begin with a brief platform orientation, covering headset setup, interface navigation, and hardware calibration. This is meant to ensure that once they enter their first clinical case, their full attention is on the patient, not the platform.
The clinical focus of the group is airway management. Trainees apply the LEMON assessment to anticipate intubation difficulty, followed by a full intubation procedure with real-time instructions and visual cues. These tasks serve as preparation steps for the more demanding EMS and Emergency Department modules.
