Emergency Department Modules

The Emergency Department module group focuses on advanced airway management in a simulated in-hospital setting. Trainees are called to manage critically ill patients admitted with severe respiratory compromise, presenting with hypoxia, fever, and altered mental status, where the clinical picture is actively evolving and the stakes of delayed or improper intervention are high.
The module group includes both a standard operator-assisted configuration and a fully autonomous mode, where all controls are accessible directly within the headset, allowing trainees to train independently, without requiring an operator on hand.

Both modules center on the complete tracheal intubation workflow: from pre-oxygenation and drug-assisted sedation, through tube placement and confirmation, across patients with varying physiological reserve and clinical complexity.
