The situation in Israel

The attack by the Hamas terrorist group on Israeli citizens is a tragedy of great proportions. Of Surgical Science's approximately 260 employees, about half are employed at the Tel Aviv office. The office is open, and the business is up and running.

"My and the management team's primary focus is to support our employees in this difficult time for Israel. In the midst of this abnormal situation, our team spirit and the work of continuing to create the world's best medical simulation contribute to a kind of normality," says Surgical Science's CEO Gisli Hennermark.

"All of our staff is safe, and the Israeli team has weathered security challenges before," says Ran Bronstein, President, R&D at Surgical Science.

Surgical Science does not currently see anything that affects the company's ability to maintain normal operations. It is too early to assess how this will affect personnel and operations in a longer perspective, should there be a protracted war.
