Are you the new Global Head of HR & Sustainability at a leading VR and MedTech company?

Surgical Science is a simulation company – supplying virtual reality simulators and stand-alone software for medical training to hospitals as well as to the medical device industry. With headquarters in Gothenburg, they also operate in Stockholm, Tel Aviv, and Seattle.

The virtual reality simulators are used by medical training centers and institutes worldwide for practice, validation and certification of students, surgeons, and medical doctors. Projects are also run with industrial partners in MedTech, for example to supply software for brand-specific robotic surgery training.

Surgical Science has more than 200 employees, and a total revenue of approximately SEK 500 million (pro forma 2020). With a global network of distributors as well as Sales Offices in China, US, and France, Surgical Science is today present in many markets and has more than 90% of their sales abroad.

Role description

The location for this position can either be the headquarter in Gothenburg, or in Stockholm (Kista office).

Global Head of HR & Sustainability main responsibilities:

  • Shape and deliver business and people objectives
  • Form career plan and structure
  • Drive organizational effectiveness including change management
  • Internal communication

Your profile
We are looking for someone with +7 years’ experience within HR, involving strategic and operative accountabilities – preferably in a listed company. Having global experience in an organization in growth or transformation phase is compulsory. You have a strategic mind and no problem rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. You are used to analysing HR data and act upon your conclusions. With a strong business acumen, you handle large-scale change and understand global implications. Finally, you have an agile and growth-oriented mindset that contributes with innovative solutions in a multinational environment.
