For 20 years, Surgical Science has been committed to providing state-of-the-art medical training simulators based on the idea that surgical training can be made safer. Back at the time when the company was started 1999 from initiatives at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, virtual reality was barely known – even internet was new for most of us – and there were only a few projects if any in the medical simulation business. Over the years, focus has shifted from fundamental R&D to commercialization of the technology, as both hardware and software are nowadays shipped out from Gothenburg to all over the world, and with a growing licensing service of the world’s most advanced real-time simulation of instrument/tissue interaction directly to MedTech suppliers, a whole new phase of sales growth is envisioned.

Description of the position
Surgical Science brings world class simulators to physicians across the globe. As our new Account Manager in this international position, you will be responsible for operations in several countries. Direct sales in the closest vicinity, and through distributors in other more remote markets. Being responsible for distributors involve both support to existing partners, as well as finding and developing new partnerships. We, and our distributors, are in it for the business. We close deals, often with long lead-times, and support our customers in implementing this important technology in their education and training.
We are looking for someone with documented sales experience, preferably in MedTech or Medical Device. Sales through partners/distributors is a merit as well as special competency within the surgical field. In this role it is important that you are goal-oriented, work independently and have high ambitions. We do need you to have the ability to drive multiple sales processes simultaneously, both with direct customers and through distributors.
As a person you see challenges as opportunities, are well organized and efficient and is a natural communicator with the ability to encourage.
