The 2018 CMSH (China Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare) was held from 16th to 18th of August in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. Attending was over 50 professors and medical experts from seven countries. All the latest technologies within medical training and education was presented together with AI, VR/AR and 3D printing and how they can contribute to deliver a fast and foremost a patient‐safe path to technical competence in the operating room.

Dr. Lars Konge, co-chair of the Medical Education Alliance and dean of the Copenhagen Medical Simulation Institute in Denmark, was talking about the importance of providing medical simulation training for students and doctors, so that mistakes can be made in the simulated environment and not when operating on a real person.

In connection to the CMSH, Dr. Lars Kong also ran an in-depth research workshop at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.
