Gothenburg, Sweden (May 09, 2016) – Surgical Science announced today that the latest annual update of the virtual reality laparoscopic trainer LapSim is now available to all LapSim customers.
“We do these updates every year to make sure LapSim continues to meet our customers’ expectations, and this is again really a result of customers’ feedback and input, which we appreciate so much”, said Hans Uddenberg, global product manager for LapSim. “The release is part of our core ambition to continually deliver improvements and stronger user experiences – our momentum forward.”
This year the oldest and best-selling Cholecystectomy module has undergone a complete review with all-new graphics, new dynamics, anatomy variations, blunt dissection, and longer scenario. The update also brings improved realism in VATS Lobectomy module, possibility to set available instrumentation in all procedures, and port placement preview before exercises start, plus a range of minor updates.
The 2016 update is available for all LapSim customers with a subscription or extended warranty package. Non-warranty customers may learn more about accessing the system update by contacting Surgical Science at firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting your local Surgical Science representative.
